If my 7-year-old hadn’t proclaimed it to be “awesome,” I would have returned this item. I’m more than a little sorry that I let the Zhu Zhu pet thing get started. The components are expensive and not particularly well thought out.
The boat set, while it is supposed to attach to the playhouse comes with no clear method of attachment other than setting the ramp at one of the playhouse openings. If you have carpeted floors, forget about this expansion. There is too much friction with the floor. The pet motors away, but nothing moves. On a hard floor, it doesn’t do anything interesting. The boat goes straight until it runs into something. Then you put the pet back in the playhouse, return the boat to the dock, and wait for the same thing to happen again.
For a couple of pretty cheap plastic parts, this set is overpriced by half. And you have to pay extra for the outfit! Definitely not recommended.

The boat is the BEST vehicle for the Zhu Zhu pets! It is WAY better than the car or the skateboard. The pets can easily get into the boat from the ramp and the best part is they STAY IN the boat. If you are getting a vechile or toy for the pets, you should get this one.
