My 6 year old granddaughter wanted this itiem so badly I searched everywhere for it. It was well worth the search when I saw the look on her face when she opened it at her birthday party. The little guy is adorable and she and her 11 year old sister fell in love with it.

Last year I bought a battery operated hamster from “Five and Below”. My daughter (5) LOVES it. I find it a bit annoying (noise), but it looks similar to the Zhu Zhu and only costs $[...]. (At the time I hadn’t heard of Zhu Zhu). It comes with a excercise ball and the little thing goes and goes – the ball allows it to change directions.
We’ve given it for birthday gifts and the other kids love it too.
It looks like the Zhu Zhu has MORE features, – but really…how can you compare $5 to $50 for a fur covered battery.
