I have to say that I am extremely disappointed in Amazon.com. To raise prices and take advantage of people by charging an insane price is unethical. You have lost a customer. I will no longer shop at Amazon.com. This says a lot about your integrity and how you treat your customers. The fact that you would even consider these high markups is representative of greed rather than business savvy. Your recent example of price gouging has truly impacted the image I hold of your company. When I think of Amazon.com I will no longer think competitive, good prices, and selection, but rather “unethical, greedy, and sinister.” You should remain dedicated to customer loyalty, which will in turn lead to a better bottomline, not the other way around. I will be happy to give my business to Target, Toysrus,Walmart and any other vendor that chose to remain sensible in their pricing–be it before or after Christmas.
Russell Hornsby (Zhu Zhu Pet founder and Cepia CEO)…I hope you take into account that one of the vendors you chose to showcase and sell your product is a cold hearted snake!
Amazon, I hope you will read some of these other comments and decide to do the right thing.

I can not believe you people would pay 5x’s + more for these critters only because it’s x-mas. I can’t believe I was one of these people only to make my granddaughter happy. I could go out the day after and purchase this item for 8.00. People you just made this person who made this a millionaire. Over a 8.00 toy. Shame on the people who are selling them for more than the true price. Scrooge’s all of you.

Tests indicate these cheap toys contain unsafe levels of a chemical called Antimony – which is poisonous (like arsenic). The levels of antimony exceed federal guidelines by nearly twice the allowable limit. I would not be surprised if these are recalled shortly. I certainly would not allow them near my kids.
