My husband and I travel extensively by car for our business. The Garmin, I believe, will save our marriage!

The first time we used it to go a couple of blocks it was fine. But last night we had to go 20 miles past our house and it went out 5 times in that distance. It reads no satilite reception and it dosen’t work till you go about 5 miles down the road. It also dosen’t seemed to know it’s right from it’s left. It tells you to turn right when the road is on the left. Then it corrects itself after a few miles, by then your past where you should have turned and it’s behind you in instructions so it said it was correcting but your past that point. What do you do when it won’t tell you what you need to know.??? Mikki

The product itself is good. However, Garmin’s website for registering the device is very difficult. And the Garmin website for downloading map updates is also very poor. I still haven’t been able to get my free map update.

Love the large screen, I can read it without reading glasses, I can’t even see my cell phone. If I had it to do over I would by the 1490T for the traffic and Blue tooth.
