A really great knife set. A professional chef in the family was told of the purchase and said, “It is about time you got a world class set of knives. I never understood why you messed around with the cheaper brands”. Do follow the instructions for proper care so they will last a life time.

Received this set as a gift several years ago. These knives are superb. It’s hard to imagine ever needing replacements. I use them once or twice a week but only two of them have required sharpening. The Henckels pull through sharpener seems to work well. These knives never go in the dishwasher and a cutting board is always used. These are the first serious knives I’ve owned. I’ll never go back to, uh, nonsense knives again. Highly recommended.

I noticed no one has written a recent review so I thought I would. I have had these knives for 3 days and I really love them. I am glad that I returned my recent purchase of Henckels International version of these knives as there is a big difference. These are made in Germany, where others international versions are made in Spain, China, Etc. These were fairly pricy but we cook every night so we are glad that we bought them. Dont be fooled with buying more expensive sets with more knives. This set gives you everything you need for everyday use. I wish it came with a bread knife, so I am going to buy that individually. Even the other knives could cut through bread without buying this knife.

I wouldn’t have any other knife set. Its great that you can take baby steps into buying knives because you never know which ones you will use the most. These are fantastic and I love them.
