  1. I purchased this product for use in the nursery. It makes a terrible vibration that is very loud. After buying the first unit, it stopped working after about a month. I had emptied the water and let it dry out everyday and cleaned it weekly. The company let me return it with no receipt, so that was no hassle. I believe that they sent me a reconditioned unit which was extremely LOUD with this horrible vibration. We tried everything to get it to stop. It made both me, my son and my husband very grouchy! Finally, it stopped working the other day. I am fed up with it and am throwing it in the trash, Finally!

  2. I was looking for a humidifier that put cool mist in the air like on we had had for years and this one does the job perfectly. I was a little worried it would not be just what I needed because it was by vicks but it works great.

simple, cheap. we use white noise to help our baby sleep, so the noise level is fine. humidity is not excessive so the walls stay dry. i wish it had an on/off switch instead of having to unplug it every morning.

  4. After about a month, it started producing cool-mist that smelled funny, like something bad had rotted in the room. The filters are a nuisance. I think I’m much better off with a steam vaporizer.

We have been using this product and have had no problems whatsoever with it. It is extremely easy to refill (you can pour water in from a pitcher without even removing the top) and it was smartly built to ‘catch’ any water that accumulates on the vent. It definitely puts out mist – we put a hydrometer in our daughter’s room and the humidity level went up over 10%, and it is really, really dry here right now. I recently had a cold and slept near it and it made a huge difference. For people that complain about the mineral build-up: if you read your manual you would see that they warn you that might happen if you have hard water. As for mildew, take the lid off and let it dry up good before you pack it away. No different than bath toys, etc.
