During the winter months with the house ’sealed’ for energy savings these are a great purchase to help keep our home fresh and the air cleaner.
We have not had any similar products and therefore cannot provide a comparative review however, we have seen what the result is by cleaning the purifiers as directed and they really do pull a lot of otherwise un-noticed pollutants from the air in our home. We have one in the bedroom and have found it runs quietly as to not disturb our sleep.

Aside from the cylinders being slightly annoying to clean (you wipe them with a damp rag but have to dry them afterward because the leftover water just stays on them), these work GREAT! I could not breathe the moldy air in my house without the help of these machines, and I’m thinking about buying another set.

Well I foolishly did not save all the original packaging and now I cannot send these back. I have had them both turned on and running on high for two weeks and they do not do anything, the electrostatic rods have nothing on them, and the carbon filter also is clean as a whistle. At first they had a plastic smell they put out which I thought meant they were cleaning the air but the don’t even do that now. So I pretty much paid over a hundred dollars for two glorified night lights. Oh well, I will be ordering a true Ozone Machine because I have used those in the past and they really clean the air. I should have know something was up when they were selling these as a “twin” pack. Twin pieces of junk.

You are probably concerned that it might produce ozone a bit, which is unhealty and defeats the whole purpose. I understand that ozone has a strong scent that you should smell when you walk into the house or room. I have never smelled anything but incredibly clean air. I had it on high all last winter. I think it is a great value, and a very beneficial thing to use.
