I was ready to buy a new mattress when I read about these mattress toppers. My mattress is too firm. I bought this 3″ latex foam mattress topper, topped off with a two year old 2″ viscoelastic mattress topper. I thought the 2″ viscoelastic topper did not provide enough cushion for my achy back. Now, I can sleep great. I did not notice any odors at all. I did not need a cover for the mattress topper. Wished I bought this sooner. I received it in 3 days.

It’s like sleeping on a huge condom-scented marshmallow! The smell is quite irritating and I’m hoping it will dissipate, in time (hopefully SOON!), but it’s AWSOME to sleep on! I can’t think of anything else I’ve ever laid on that comes close to what this feels like.
If it weren’t for the smell this would be the most perfect sleeping surface ever, IMO! It’s firm, but fluffy at the same time. You don’t sink into it like you would with memory foam, but it does conform to the body’s curves and gives equal support to every part of the body. It’s easy to move around on (unlike memory foam which is like moving in sand!). I am very happy with it! So much so that I’m even willing to put up with that smell for a bit, until it dissipates, because it WILL go away, right? :/
