This unit may very well be fine for a small room. I have a very large sleeping area, and it doesn’t come close to doing the job.
The other problem is that it needs to be cleaned weekly. Properly cleaning the unit takes 10 minutes.

I can only rate my own experience, but after receiving 2 units and neither of them working, I have to give this a low rating. It looked very promising from the other reviews and descriptions but ultimately I couldn’t get a working unit.

The blue glow is bright but I just covered it up with tape & have it facing the wall. 2 seperate tanks make it really easy to fill.

After a few weeks of us, it does a good job with adding humidity to the air. Some of the down sides that I have experienced would be the low hum from the fan that is always on when this is turned on, the humidity control does not work very well – seems to actually work in reverse of what it should so once you turn it till it clicks on, it never turns off regardless of how humid it becomes, and the final down side would be the annoyingly bright indicator lights.

Please note that this unit does not produce “mist” but ONLY STEAM. The steam generated was very little and unit needed to be on for at least a couple hours before you could tell the difference. I got this originally due to the dry air in the winter but this did not help very much due to the lack of steam. Additionally, my unit leaked onto my hardwood floors and caused a short circuit in my bedroom! Be very careful how you place the unit (if the floor is slightly uneven or if the edge of the unit on a carpet) – the slightest tilt will cause the unit to leak! I was very disappointed overall and obviously threw the unit out after it caused a short circuit in my bedroom.
