the blade thats on there doesn’t have very agressive serations, makes for a nice knife for cutting purposes, and when it gets dull you could always send it to a sharpening place and tell them to grind it to a straight edge too, been thinking about getting one lol

Hi! Nice video, I am happy I found it!
Can you connect the ratchet to the tool somehow or it is meant to be used separately?
    Thanks!

  5. DerkaDog says:

There is a modle now that has a standard spearpoint knife like all the other Swiss Army knives. It’s called the Spirit S.

  6. ffleischer says:

great, tell us whether u like it after u get it :P

  7. mecrazy5 says:

i cancled my order, and got a leatherman wave

  8. ffleischer says:

My model DOES NOT have a normal blade (sadly), but there is a model with normal blade, and my advice is to get that one.

  9. rezzoro says:

Can you please explain more about the normal blade and the wavy blade? Did this model come with a normal blade? I’m not sure what a wavy blade is that you mentioned. Thanks

  10. mecrazy5 says:

ok, i have just orderd the victorinox tool spirit+, ill get back to you when i get it, 1week.

  11. ffleischer says:

Comparing vic swiss tool spirit plus AND leatherman charge tti, they are more or less the same. victorinox has abit more solid design and i like the wrenches it has. Leatherman has a nice blade and pretty much everything else that victorinox has. Its a matter of personal preference i guess, and oh if ur going for victorinox go for the model WITH A NORMAL BLADE not just the one with wavy blade and with victorinox u also get this nice set of wrenches which i found veery useful

  12. mecrazy5 says:

hmmm, i am not sure, i have the leatherman equlivilant, i have had a look at this one, i am not sure what one to keep. plz help…..

  13. ffleischer says:

yes, i have touched leatherman’s wave and i have to say that victorinox is very sturdy, so i say good choice! donno about the scissors hough.
    enjoy your buy.

  14. seversebastian says:

I just bought mine. Seems sturdier than the Leatherman and it looks much better. And I’ll have to say that I’m impressed by the scissors. Victorinox did a great job with this. Have you seen such a scissor in any of their other models? The spring is fantastic.

  15. lilsam1618 says:

just ordered mine :) prefer victorinox over the leatherman :P

  16. ffleischer says:

I got it from Gad Zooks, nice shop I have to add.

  17. eMichaye says:

Are you the guy behind Gad Zooks? Or is it simply where you got it?

  18. ffleischer says:

As for the ratchet – no it isnt, basically you would only need the ratchet if u also want to carry the extra tools. I dont really use them so i just carry the knife in my Levi Strauss pocket :P
To sum up on the victorinox swiss tool: extremely well build, with a solid feel, and enough functions (well at least i find it enough). THE ONLY SUGGESTION WHEN BUYING SWISS TOOL would be to get the model with the NORMAL KNIFE BLADE AND not only the wavy blade one…

  19. ffleischer says:

    1) Both (leatherman charge tti and swiss tool spirit pus) have pros and cons, so im dont think either of them is better or worth. For example they say and i can confirm that swiss tool doesnt rattle at all and that charge tti does rattle a bit. But what i like about charge tti is that u can open a blade with one finger, which is really neat function.

looking to buy a multitool but cant decide whats best. Is this tool better than a leatherman charge?
Is it necessary to carry a ratchet around as well?

  22. ffleischer says:

Just a fun and fast way to close the knife, thats all.
